We are based in Eggenfelden, Rottal-Inn, and with over 150 employees, we are the premium manufacturer of fireplaces, stoves and heating systems. We stand for handcrafted, long-lasting products that bring people joy, add meaning, and are never just unnecessary consumer goods. Many of our colleagues have been with the company for more than 20 years. Each of us shares a passion for what we do. The use of first names, the friendly atmosphere, and the solidarity during challenging times are what define us as a family-run business.

For full-time positions, we have a flexible 37-hour week with core working hours from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and until 1 p.m. on Fridays. Depending on the position, working from home is also possible. This flexibility is designed to help our employees better balance family, leisure, and work.

Skilled, ambitious colleagues are key to the success of our company. That’s why fair, performance-based compensation is important to us – it’s our way of showing appreciation.

At BRUNNER, we work with a strong sense of personal responsibility, shape our workflows on our own, and treat colleagues with respect and as equals – regardless of their position.

To offer our employees a sense of security beyond their time at BRUNNER, we provide the option to participate voluntarily in a company pension scheme with capital-forming benefits.

We want our team to feel comfortable at work. That’s why we’ve already modernized most of our offices and equipped them with the latest technology – creating a pleasant and productive working environment. Coffee and tea are, of course, available free of charge.

Employee benefits are part of working at BRUNNER – from exclusive benefits in various stores and online shops to discounts from a range of local partners.

At BRUNNER, we work with highly motivated, honest and straightforward people. Constructive feedback is one of the tools we use to make collaboration valuable for everyone involved.

People are talking about our positive work atmosphere and friendly, supportive colleagues – and we’re proud of that. It’s not uncommon for real friendships to grow beyond the workplace, simply because people get along and enjoy spending time together.

A great workplace with a unique working environment

I started working here at BRUNNER in 2014 as a sales representative in the field of heating technology, and I’ve simply been happy to be here ever since. I appreciate the unique working environment, which includes modern buildings and attractive workplaces as well as cosy places like our beer garden and the guild island. Our bosses place great confidence in us, which makes it possible to work comfortably and enjoy our autonomy. The social community is excellent and you can feel the sense of togetherness immediately. It’s human and that’s what I like most. Sometimes we stay longer in the evening because colleagues become friends during good conversations, and everything is actually going well.

What I appreciate most at BRUNNER is the variety, exciting challenges, and the fun we have at work.

Since June 2021, I’ve been responsible for work preparation at BRUNNER. My job is to coordinate the assembly of components – from creating production orders to preparing materials, making sure all parts are assembled and products are ready for delivery. We also respond to different customer requirements, which means no two days are ever the same. That’s exactly what I love about my job – the variety and the challenge keep things exciting. And of course, fun is part of the deal in our team. A bit of good humor, a joke or a casual comment always makes the day better!

Meaningful products and a skilled, friendly team – it’s just the perfect match!

As a child, I grew up with a tiled stove and even today it is still an indispensable “fixture” in our house. I can therefore very much feel at home with BRUNNER and I think that we have very sensible products in our range that many customers can enjoy just as much as I do. We also have a very nice and competent team here that works well together, but that can also be open to criticism and likes to develop itself further. We all head in the same direction, which is perhaps also our success factor. I like the direct customer contact in my position as a receptionist and end customer employee and have somehow landed here exactly where I should. In fact, I have my neighbour to thank for that. Although my husband has been working here for many years, it was Martin who brought me to BRUNNER and I am still very happy about that today.

We have a very strong supplier network.

The same applies on the supplier side: Good quality and a reasonable price are the order of the day. The free approach is to build a good partnership that lasts for years, in which you work together to find the best solutions. Our manufacturing companies provide us with their specific know-how at a very early stage. It helps that the distances to most suppliers are short. They are located in the immediate vicinity and you can also meet them in person to commission the prototypes.

Brunner has become like a second family to me.

Brunner has become a second family to me. For almost 22 years now, I have been working in the furnace technology division for the company in Central Germany. It is Brunner’s innovative technology that stands out for me; always keeping its finger on the pulse, a high standard of quality and very good service. In other words, the perfect “all-round carefree package” for our customers. Over the years, many friendships have developed and they have the highest respect for and appreciation of each other. I think it’s good that we have a good organisational structure for a medium-sized company and that the communication with the interfaces works. The management is always open to our questions. You feel heard and can express your ideas and wishes. I find it particularly positive that, despite all the organisation, structures are not exclusively rigid, and that many things change as part of the ongoing process.

At BRUNNER, the term "family business" is a lived reality

I’ve learned a lot during my three-year apprenticeship. What impressed me most at BRUNNER was the principle: “There are no stupid questions.” My colleagues were always there for me and took the time to support me. Throughout my training, I was able to work in many different departments and gain a broad insight into various areas of the company. I also had the chance to represent BRUNNER at the 2022 apprentice fair in Eggenfelden and took part in the 2023 partner event. What truly sets BRUNNER apart is the family-like atmosphere. Here, “family business” isn’t just a phrase – it’s something you feel every day. You feel welcome from the start, well supported, and the team always has each other’s back. Even though I only joined in 2022, it already feels like I’ve known my colleagues forever.

I love our “hot” products

As a quality manager, I am involved in countless processes, get to see a lot and become aware of why our products are so popular and successful. Being part of this big picture makes me particularly proud, because I stand fully behind our hot devices made in Germany. As an old hobbyist and craftsman, I always set up creative fireplaces here for training purposes and feel therefore very close to the product. Stove builder partners therefore like to call my direct line often, because I am there to help them in the best possible way with advice and action when it comes to the installation of our heating inserts and surface techniques.

A great team that complements each other perfectly

I’ve been with the company since April 1, 2013, starting as an engineer in heating technology (pellet and log wood heating systems, later heat pumps) and have since had the chance to help develop a number of products. From 2021 on, I became increasingly involved on the stove side as well, and since 2023 I’ve been leading the now-unified engineering department for both heating and stove technology. What matters to me is a collaborative and solution-focused way of working – the end result is what counts. In the end, it doesn’t matter who had the big idea, as long as we create something great together – no one ever pulled it off alone. And that’s what I love about BRUNNER: we complement each other really well, and we’re great at integrating and developing new team members. Here, you’re still treated as a person, not a number, and many friendships have grown within and beyond the company. That’s why I still truly enjoy taking on new challenges with all my colleagues every single day.
