- 1. Dome elements
The precisely cast refractory concrete dome elements are dry-fitted and interlocked, ensuring the structural stability of the oven interior.
- 2. Door elements
The door elements provide a tight and secure seal of the oven interior during use.
- 3. Capillary sensor mount for top heat
This section contains the fixture for installing a capillary sensor used to measure the top heat.
- 4. Fireclay floor stone
The fireclay floor stone ensures even heat distribution and storage in the oven floor.
- 5. MMS-olivine storage stone
The storage stone made of MMS-olivine stores and radiates heat evenly to ensure a consistent cooking environment.
- 6. Capillary sensor mount for bottom heat
This mount is used for inserting a capillary sensor to monitor the bottom heat.
- 7. Support for storage stones
The support ensures the stable positioning of the storage stones inside the oven chamber.
The usage
Proper firing takes practice
To fire up the oven, crumpled newspaper is covered with finely split wood and ignited, followed by larger logs. At first, the oven dome turns black, but once the right temperature is reached, the soot burns off. To further increase the heat, the firing door is closed only when only embers remain. Two to three firings with up to 7 kg of wood each are required to reach the optimal temperature.

With the Fire-Igloo, you already have a perfectly designed baking oven that only needs to be finished with an appropriate exterior casing. The individually constructed outer shell, built by the stove builder, is designed entirely according to your preferences – there are virtually no limits to creativity. You decide where and how the Fire Igloo will be integrated, whether as an extension next to the terrace or as a traditional bread-baking house in the middle of the garden.
