“green” is the new standard for BRUNNER fireplaces. With the right fuel and proper operation, you can achieve verifiable low emissions at any time. No need for “laboratory conditions” – anyone who wants to can go green right at home.

But everyone can go even further: with the BRUNNER combustion control system and the catalytic converter, you can take your fireplace to the next level: green-plus. This gives our customers the peace of mind that they’ll be prepared if emission limits become even stricter in the future.
The Features
We’ve practically reinvented everything – except the fire. That was here long before us.
The centerpiece: the bowl firing system
The patented bowl firing system is the centerpiece of the BKH green series. Its side air supply ensures efficient, clean combustion – especially during ignition and burnout. In addition, the special airflow keeps the glass pane clear for much longer.
The catalyst converter
This component features a coated sponge-like structure. A study by the German Biomass Research Center has shown that with this technology, BRUNNER fireplaces can reduce CO emissions by up to 80% and hydrocarbons by more than 50%. The catalytic converter is simply integrated directly into the fireplace insert and can be inserted and cleaned through the combustion chamber. It should be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner after roughly 80–100 burns. Our catalytic converter can also be retrofitted at a later stage.

The electronic combustion control system
Our proven EAS is the perfect combination of comfort and eco-friendliness. Our controls not only regulate the combustion air supply but also detect common errors when loading firewood. They also provide valuable feedback to improve user habits and combustion quality.
With our EAS, all you need to do is light the fire – the system takes care of the rest. Even the ideal moment for reloading is indicated.

Lifting door mechanism “EASY-LIFT”
The perfect solution for a smooth and durable sliding mechanism.
When opening, the door lifts away from the fireplace body and glides effortlessly upwards. Only when closing does it automatically press back against the fireplace body, sealing tightly in place.
The special cleaning lock “Click-Clack”
Thanks to the “Click-Clack” cleaning lock, the glass can now be cleaned without any craftsmanship skills. With a simple click, the door tilts forward – or to the side in the case of a corner fireplace. This makes it easy to clean the inner glass pane.

BRUNNER fireplaces are built with exceptional airtightness -
this allows the incoming combustion air to form a stable “air barrier” in front of the glass pane, reducing the production of soot and dust particles. Flat glass formats stay clean the longest. Two- or three-sided glass constructions (corner or Panorama fireplaces), where turbulent airflows occur in the corners, require more frequent cleaning.
In addition to technology, other key factors also play a role: chimney draft, wood moisture, the amount of wood used, and careful manual operation – unless an electronic combustion control system is installed.
