BRUNNER Water-bearing system fireplaces
BRUNNER water-bearing system fireplaces combine stylish fireplace ambiance with modern heating technology – all in a well-designed modular kit. While the fire behind the large glass pane provides pleasant radiant heat, hot water is generated at the same time for the heating system. This makes it easy to combine living comfort with energy efficiency.
The modular design allows for quick, clean, and cost-effective installation. All components are precisely manufactured, and the cladding can be individually chosen – from raw exposed concrete to ceramic surfaces or a plastered craftsman finish.

FAQ Water-bearing system fireplaces
- What is the difference between a water-bearing fireplace and a water-bearing system fireplace?
The difference lies in the fireplace cladding: when installing a water-bearing fireplace, the stove builder can create a completely individual design. A water-bearing system fireplace, on the other hand, has a prefabricated thermal concrete shell that can only be customised in terms of surface texture (e.g. by plastering, painting or sealing). The advantage of the latter is that the fireplace system can be assembled much more quickly and is therefore more cost-effective to implement. The internal technology, however, is identical in both versions. They provide fast heat and a cosy atmosphere while also supporting the heating system through domestic hot water generation.
- What is the difference between a water-bearing system stove and a water-bearing system fireplace?
Water-bearing system fireplaces feature large viewing windows and emit plenty of radiant heat directly into the room. They heat up quickly and create a strong fire atmosphere – ideal for larger living spaces or new builds, where excess heat is transferred to the heating system.
Water-bearing system stoves, on the other hand, focus on heating water generation. Up to 70% of the heat is transferred into the heating system – perfect when the stove is intended to actively contribute to heating the building and relieve the central heating system.
