A storage stove is typically fired twice a day. BRUNNER masonry heater fireboxes with fuel capacities of up to 18 kg make this level of convenience possible. To prevent the living area from overheating during the burn phase, the released heat energy is stored in flue gas-heated storage masses and then gradually emitted as radiant heat for many hours after the fire has burned down.
The required amount of storage mass is adjusted in size and design according to the firebox and the amount of fuel used. Mounted storage masses require smaller fuel quantities.
