According to the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control, around 35 percent of Germany\u2019s total energy consumption comes from buildings. When it comes to heat supply, the ministry states that energy efficiency could be significantly improved \u2013 not only through structural measures but especially by optimizing existing heating systems.
