Firewood storage

How to store firewood the right way

  1. Store your firewood in a sunny and aerated area (south/westside)
  2. Make sure the ground is dry
  3. Store it with at least 15 cm distance to the ground
  4. By storing it cross piled it dries quicker
  5. Cover it with a rain shield as soon as it is dried
  6. When storing it make sure there is at least a gap of 10 cm between the wood and the building so the wood can aerate
  7. If possible keep the daily consumption near to the fireplace
